General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) Regulatory body for Osteopathy
The General Osteopathic Council regulates the practice of osteopathy in the United Kingdom. By law osteopaths must be registered with us in order to practise in the UK. The GOsC works with the public and osteopathic profession to promote patient safety by registering qualified professionals, and setting, maintaining and developing standards of osteopathic practice and conduct.
The Institute of Osteopathy
The Institute of Osteopathy is the UK’s professional body for registered osteopaths. The iO recently launched a new site with much greater information about the conditions that osteopaths treat, along with videos about how it works, and testimonials from patients.
